PUBLIC ETHICS: BUILDING HONEST AND COMPETENT LEADERS IN NEW JERSEY
Governor’s School of Public Issues and the Future of New Jersey (GSPI) has accepted forty (40) scholars this year and will run for two (2) weeks from July 12th to July 25th. Scholars can expect to participate in many activities including interaction with 39 other scholars with similar interests, guest speakers, and field trips.
affords students the opportunity to identify contemporary public issues, discuss possible
solutions and debate the feasibility of these solutions.
provides an atmosphere of enriched personal awareness of diversity among ideas, and enriches an
understanding of the many alternatives to solving the issues that confront our society today.
gives the students the opportunity to listen and respect opinions of others utilizing collaborative approaches
to public issue solutions.
exposes students to first hand observations of ways in which the local and state governments identify public
issues and understand the legislative process of how these issues become law.
