Joseph N. Patten, Associate Professor and Director of the Governor's School of New Jersey.
Ph.D., West Virginia University; M.A., Public Policy, West Virginia University. Public Policy, Political Campaigns at National, State and Local levels, the United States Congress, the American Presidency, Media Law, U.S. Senate and the Impact of Domestic Politics on U.S. Foreign Policy. He has been married to Veena since 1997 and is the proud father of his son Nikhil and his daughter Jaya. The Patten family resides in Howell Township where they enjoy working in their vegetable garden and rooting for the New York Mets.
Gwen has been with the Governor's School of Public Issues (GSPI) for 22 years. During nine of those years, She also worked with the executive director of the New Jersey Governor's Schools. As assistant to the director of GSPI, her responsibility is to make sure the program runs smoothly. She has four (4) daughters and five (5) grandchildren — Amanda, Melissa, Erika, Kristina and Charlie. One of them completed her MA in Occupational Therapy this year, three are undergraduates and one graduated from high school this year, and will enter college in the fall.
