Excursions

New York, of course, needs no introduction - and when you study at Anglo-Continental you can see it at your leisure. In nearby Manhattan you can stroll down Broadway, Fifth Avenue and Wall Street. You can see the famous Empire State Building, the United Nations Plaza and Central Park; visit the Lincoln Center for Performing Arts and the Guggenheim Museum; admire the World Trade Center and the Statue of Liberty; dine at the Hard Rock Cafe and enjoy yourself in China Town.

And further afield, but still within easy reach, you can visit some of America's other historic cities such as Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C. and Boston. You can also travel to New England, Canada and Niagara Falls or explore the lakes and mountains of New Jersey and the Appalachian Trail. And Atlantic City, the Las Vegas of the east, is only 90 minutes away.

Sport

The outstanding sports facilities on campus include a gymnasium equipped with basketball and volleyball courts, an indoor swimming pool and a weight-room. There are tennis courts, a modern outdoor athletics field, and soccer and baseball fields.

In the immediate vicinity of the College you can go horseback-riding, water-ski, bowl, ice-skate and play golf, and take part in many other sports - even snow-skiing in the winter months.

Leisure

The American students arrange a wide variety of activities such as concerts, art exhibitions, films and theatrical events in the Guggenheim Theater, and lectures by distinguished guests. The lively Student Center is the perfect meeting-place, providing you with a wealth of facilities, including the university shop, snack bar, games room and television. And the comprehensive leisure programs arranged by Anglo-Continental New York's Activities Supervisors give you a new insight into the life and language of the United States.
