You probably want to review the second sentence of the first paragraph in the
Problem section, the sentence that begins "If the /filename portion of the host
is missing...".

I suspect the question you wanted to ask was

  Is http://pagelog/ a valid logging url, or is a filename required to log
  output?

No. If filename is missing, output should go to std-out. I've updated the
assignment page to read "If the /filename or filename portion of the host is
missing..." to make this clear.
