Gdb, the gnu debugger, has been core dumping on me when I debug my os under
solaris (I've had no problems under linux). If you've been having problems
with gdb under solaris, try compiling (and linking) your code with the -gstabs
option instead of the -g option; this seems to fix the problem. The next
release of the simulator library will be compiled with -gstabs.
