Lecture Notes for Simulation

21 February 2005 - Designing Experiments

Outline

Simulation

  • Overall, a simulation has four phases:

    1. Understand the problem to extract a system.

    2. Abstract the system as a model.

    3. Experiment with the model.

      • Design the experiments.

      • Run the experiments.

    4. Analyze the experiment results.

  • Each phase has sub-phases, including be validation and verification.
