You have to submit a new group file for every project (or half-project); the
group file you submitted for previous projects do not carry over to the next
project.

In particular, your project 1a group file (if you submitted one) is not carried
over to project 1b; you have to submit a new group file for project 1b (and for
every subsequent project).
