A question about aspect-oriented programming (AOP) came up in last night's
lecture, and I sort of fumbled around for an answer, although I did say that I
though that most main-stream (that is non-functional) research in AOP was
missing the point.
IBM announced

that AOP will be an important part of their near future software products.
Make of this what you will (and I make of it support for my point of view, much
in the same way that you know "what up dawg" is over when your parents start
using it).
