I've made some updates for Assignment 2:

  gen-strings recognizes the -cn option to produce a set of n strings and now
  outputs strings in random order.

  ouroboros-uncompress does a few more sanity checks.

  my solution to the problem is available. This solution produces maximal
  compressions (unless I've made a coding error, which is always possible).

  your program should output a blank line between the compressed string and the
  uncompression key

  I've clarified some ambiguous and unclear points about the uncompression key
  on the assignment page.
