  When I submit probject 3, srpc-gen gets made correctly, but when the makefile
  tries to create the stub files, it's failing because it can't find srpc-gen.
  What's wrong?

The path used by the turn-in program is restricted and doesn't include ".".
Try using ./srpc-gen in your makefile.
