Student Presentations

Could you let us know the day we should present the topic?

Each paper gets two two-hour lectures. Unless I hear otherwise, student
presentations are scheduled for the first hour, which would be (part of) the
introductory lecture. If you're interested in a non-introductory part of the
topic - SONET vs SDH in the section on BISDN, SONET, and SDH, for example - the
presentation would be shifted around to a more appropriate hour (the fourth in
the case of SONET vs. SDH).

Also if you need to know the paper we plan on presenting just let us know.

You welcome to suggest a paper different from the one I've selected for the
topic; just run it by me so I can compare them. If you're going to do that,
look for a replacement paper rather than a supplemental paper. However, if you
find a good (clear and well written), short (no more than 5 or so pages)
supplemental paper about your presentation, I'll add it to the reading list.
Unless it's an ACM paper, there will be copyright problems to deal with, so you
should do this as soon as you can.
