  The ttycopy disk is giving me problems; I'm not sure where I'm going wrong.

Try using the tty-io debug flag, and possibly reviewing the third paragraph of
the Terminal Management Policy section on the second assignment page, the
paragraph that begins "The input line discipline in this project...".
