I've made my solution to assignment 1 available; see the updated assignment
page for information.
I also made an interesting discovery over the weekend: a given set of input
shreds may not produce a unique answer (that is, more than one different
document can produce the same set of shreds). As long as your solution
produces a correctly arranged set of shreds, it doesn't make any difference
which document your solution reconstructs; you shouldn't freak out if your
solution produces a correct but different answer from my solution.
I found this discovery helpful in simplifying my solution (essentially it meant
that some choices weren't important and any of the possibilities would do).
