It turns out the department is having a meeting next Wednesday (27 November)
that starts at 2:30. If we could see our way to starting at least a half-hour
earlier, then I wouldn't have to miss the first half-hour (on the other hand, I
could survive missing the first half hour). We'll discuss this further
tomorrow.
