Monmouth University Police Department
Hawk Alert 99-03
May 26, 1999
The university campus is often visited by Canadian geese, which we try
to keep under control via Larry, our resident canine. However, since
100% control is impossible, and evidence suggests that goose droppings
can be a health hazard, please take the following precautions:
-
If you step in droppings, please wipe
your feet as thoroughly as possible before entering buildings.
-
If you get droppings on your skin or
clothes during sports or other activities, please wash affected areas as
soon as possible after contact.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Thomas P. Zambrano
Chief of Police
