The Philadelphia Inquirer Wants Your Opinions!

Do you want to assert your political voice? Are you tired of hearing the passive/Gen-X-er label as you rush out of your 9 a.m. class on your way to work? Would you like your elected officials to really hear your concerns about local issues?

If you answered "yes" to any of the above questions, the Philadelphia Inquirer's Citizen Voices Project would love to hear hat you have to say about the issues that are important to you as New Jersey prepares to elect a governor this November. Through a series of discussion forums on-line and in the flesh, Citizen Voices '97 offers citizens the chance to discuss important issues with each other and with the candidates themselves. At the same time, the folks at the Inquirer are able to learn more about the issues that matter so its coverage of the gubernatorial race can focus on the public's concernsrather than on which candidate produced the nastiest TV ad last week. Now here's the bad news and the good news The bad news is that representatives of the college-age group have been rather scarce at the three discussion forums that have taken place so far in South Jersey. This means that your concerns have not yet been communicated. The good news is that you can still participate. Events will occur from July through the Nov. 4 election.
