The program emphasizes the broad principles of Software Engineering and the management of the software development process. It uses modern techniques and tools (e.g., object-oriented methods, integrated computer-aided software engineering [ICASE], graphical user interface [GUI] tools, and Internet programming) to illustrate these principles.
All classes are in the evening and are heavily populated by students who are currently working in some of New Jersey's most important software industries. The Department offers the entire program at two sites: at the main campus of Monmouth University and at Atlantic Community College, Mays Landing (Atlantic County), New Jersey.
