PHILOSOPHY AND RELIGIOUS STUDIES

BACHELOR OF ARTS WITH A MAJOR IN PHILOSOPHY*
The Philosophy curriculum is designed to permit examination of both descriptive and evaluative theories regarding the nature of human beings and their world, their experience of knowledge and value decisions. Such a wide spectrum of liberal arts experience prepares one for graduate study in philosophy or for further study in law, medicine, business, or religion. Major requirements: 24 credits in philosophy including Philosophy 101, 490; 3 credits in logic; 3 credits in history of philosophy; a minor in another discipline. Other requirements: General Education Requirements (see pages xx-xx); Psychology 103; 3 credits in mathematics; 12 credits in foreign languages; elective credits to make a total of 128 credits.

* No new students have been/will be accepted as Philosophy majors beginning with the 1995-96 academic year.

MINOR IN PHILOSOPHY 15 credits in philosophy, 6 of which must be at 200 level or above.
