Abstract

The student version of this pair of Mathcad documents provides a framework for exploration of  basic harmonic oscillator concepts used as a model for a chemical bond. The treatment is classical Hooke's Law as used in Molecular Mechanics. No Quantum Mechanics is required. The student and faculty versions differ in that the latter contains a sample implementation of the plots required to answer the questions in the document.
