HAWKS WOMEN’S TENNIS FALLS TO ST. JOSEPH’S
WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Monmouth University women’s tennis squad dropped a match 8-1 at St. Joseph’s Monday afternoon in Philadelphia.
Monmouth (6-4, 4-0 Northeast Conference) lone victory came at No. 3 doubles where Erin Dunn (Williamstown, N.J./Pope Paul VI) and Anneabeth Bailey (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan) triumphed, 8-6, over Lidia Thomas and Jill Simodejka of St. Josephs’s.
Gina Fay (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan) had her seven-match winning streak at No. 6 singles snapped with a 6-2, 6-2 loss to Katie Bobish.
Monmouth continues action on Wednesday as the Hawks host Princeton’s
B squad for a 3:30 p.m. match at the MU Tennis Complex.
