Krissy Jeremiah begins her second
season as Monmouth's Head Women's Soccer Coach. Last season, she
led the Hawks to a 9-11-1 record and fourth place finish in the Northeast
Conference standings. It was the fourth straight season that Monmouth
advanced to the NEC's postseason. Jeremiah, the third head coach
in the program's 15 year history, came to West Long Branch after a three-year
stint at Lafayette College.
In her last season at Lafayette, Jeremiah
guided the Leopards to the school's most wins (5) since 1992. She
coached several All-Patriot League performers, including the league's Newcomer
of the Year.
Jeremiah joined the Lafayette staff
following a highly-successful tenure as assistant women's soccer coach
at The College of New Jersey. During her three-year stint, the Lions
posted a trio of 20-win seasons and won back-to-back NCAA Division III
National Championships in 1993 and 1994.
A 1993 graduate of The College of New
Jersey, Jeremiah earned her bachelor of science degree in education.
During her assistant coaching tenure at TCNJ, Jeremiah also completed her
master's degree in education.
As an undergraduate, Jeremiah was a
two-year team captain for the Lions. She earned All-America honors
as a senior and
All-Northeast Region accolades as both a junior and a senior. She
still holds the Lions single-season record for assists (12).
Jeremiah, who owns a United States
Soccer Federation "A" licence, has been involved in training many youth
teams throughout the state. For the past four summers she has served
as a head coach in the New Jersey State Girls Olympic Development Program.
Last summer, she coached the under 17 age group.
Jeremiah, who is engaged to be married
next spring, currently resides in Pennington, NJ.
ASSISTANT COACHES
| RON AUTENRIETH
Ron Autenrieth enters his second season as Monmouth assistant women's soccer coach. Autenrieth, a graduate of Washington College in Chestertown, MD, came to Monmouth from St. Rose High School, where for eight years he served as the assistant girl's varsity coach. Before his stint at the Belmar, NJ school, Autenrieth coached the freshmen boys soccer team at Point Pleasant Boro High School for three years. Autenrieth, who owns a United States Soccer Federation "D" coaching licence, has particularly made his mark in coaching Olympic Development and club teams throughout the area. He has coached Olympic Development soccer in New Jersey for the past 10 years at the Under-13, 14 and 15 levels. He has been even more active in the club and select team ranks where he has stood for the past 22 years coaching age groups ranging from Under-eight to Under-19. Last summer (1998), Autenrieth served as assistant coach for the New Jersey Stallions of the United States Women's Inter-regional Soccer League (USWISL). He resides in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ with his wife, Amelia. The couple has three grown children. |
| VANESSA RUBIO
Vanessa Rubio knows a thing or two about winning soccer games. Rubio, who enters her second year on the Hawks sideline, graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in physical education. There she helped the Tar Heels, one of college sport's greatest dynasties, to four ACC titles and three national championships. A native of Cherry Hill, NJ, Rubio attended Cherry Hill East High School where she earned All-America, all-state and All-South Jersey honors. She was also a member of the Under-17 U.S. National Team. Rubio continues to stay active as a player. For the past two summers she played midfield for the New Jersey Lady Stallions of the USWISL Rubio is currently working toward a master's degree in Elementary Education. |
