MAT Advising responsibilities for
this semester are as follows:
Please
call to receive your current advising assignment: (NAB, Room
214, 263-5689)
All
current MAT candidates should schedule appointments with the advisor assigned
to them at the time of their admission to the program.
All elective
courses must be approved by an advisor.
-
Appointment sign-up sheets are posted outside
the faculty office doors during the Advising Periods during Fall and Spring.
-
Some advising (such as simple questions
about course requirements) can be done over the phone.
-
Please use the required course checklist
to make notes about your program (what you have already had and what you
need to take).
-
Consult the list
of recommended elective courses for the MAT program. You may take other
graduate level courses (500 or above) but will need to fill out a Course
Substitution Form and use the course as one of the "Guided Electives"
-
You may not take undergraduate level courses
(400 or below).
-
You may transfer into the MAT program up
to 9 credits of graduate courses from other institutions. This must be
done with the approval of the Graduate Program Director.
-
To enroll in an on-line class please refer
to the Course Catalog for directions - You will need to e-mail the Registrar.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
You must complete
the Graduation Application Form and pay the required $60
fee at the cashier's
office at least one semester prior to your anticipated graduation
date. We highly recommend (and soon will require) that this be done before
your student teaching placement. This process will involve the "audit"
of course credits to let you know what the university has on record of
courses you have taken.
