Information DAM (IDAM) s

The Metaphor

Through evolution we have built DAMS to tame the uncontrollable. What we are faced with rapidly accelerating change and deluge of information.

Digital World

The resource is "information" and the DAMs are Digital Archive Management tools....All information assets can be classified into one of the following categories:

Vision

In our position paper to the OMG/WWW Joint Workshop in 1996 we presented an architecture for a generalized application that can support several models of interaction. A loosely coupled society of autonomous agents or programs. Each program does something very specific and knows how to interact with other essential members.

Application Scenario

In the WETICE 1996 we presented -- "Semantic Web for Collaborative Software Processes" -- an application that is a manifestation of the vision above.

Proof is in the Pudding

In the Disha effort we are demonstrating that such an application can indeed be realized using the architectural vision proposed in IDAM.
