1. Get Informed & Plan Ahead

basic information you will need.
Read through the Student

Set up your placement at least 2 months
(preferably a whole semester) before you intend on starting.
2. Find a Placement
Register for a course (e.g. Field Experience
PY 410) that fulfills the requirement
Search for a placement by clicking here. (login/password same as hawkmail)

3. Find a Faculty Sponsor
Find a sponsor that has expertise in your area of
placement and is available at the time you need.

check out the chart in the ExEd Frequently Asked Questions)
4. Devise Learning Objectives with Faculty Sponsor
To register for ExEd
you need to devise learning objectives with the help of your faculty sponsor.
For help devising learning objectives for
various placements, please consult the Faculty
Guide
(This has guidelines and examples for learning
objectives, work to be submitted etc.)
5. Complete Paperwork
Course Registration Form (click here; also available on e-Forms)
Determine which type of
placement fits your situation (click
here)

Internship: *use
a modified version of either of the above*

At the end of your placement, don’t forget to
have your supervisor complete a Supervisor
Survey.
Your supervisor should mail the completed form
to your Faculty Sponsor.
